Ben and Jerry on CNBC to endorse Bernie, but will not endorse Hillary should she be the nominee.

The Co-Founders of Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream were on CNBC this morning on the show Squawk Alley endorsing Bernie for President with a sign that they made and a new flavor of ice cream named after Bernie, called "Bernie's Yearning". They said that they have never before endorsed or contributed to any candidate for President before Bernie. They were touting their sign that they had made as they walked through the NYSE. They were spouting all the usually Bernie propaganda that we are flooded with here on DU on a daily basis.

When questioned about "how they square the fact that they were entrepreneur's who've benefited from the free market system (Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream) that was bought out by a larger multinational conglomerate and who still profit from that sale, while endorsing Bernie who is constantly calling out that system and not in a positive way. He talks about free trade and not in a good way and you guys agree with that in spite of being bought out by a company that benefits from free trade." They made the usual statements that they believe in what Bernie's trying to accomplish. (So I guess we've got another set of purists who are hypocrites as well.)

When asked if they have donated to Bernie's campaign, they said , "Yes, alot. Mostly Ice Cream though." (I got news for you Bernie, all that ice cream are contributions so I hope you're reporting that as well, and Ben and Jerry are limited to the $2700 limit that other individuals are.)

When asked if they will make a sign and come back and endorse Hillary should she be the nominee, they said "No. They have never been enthralled to make a sign for anyone else."

Since they continue to profit from their sale of Ben and Jerry's to a multinational conglomerate, I guess the only way I can register my dissatisfaction with them for their hypocrisy is to refrain from enriching them any more.

Love their Board of Directors. Love that they continue to contribute about $1.1 million annually through employee-led corporate philanthropy and makes substantial product donations to community groups. Love that they still contribute to combat global warming, love that they still support Fair Trade, love that they support Occupy Wall Street, love that they standfor the right to know what’s in our food supply by supporting mandatory GMO labeling legislation and that iIn 2013, committed to transitioning all their ingredients to be fully sourced non-GMO.

So you're point was????????????

More Red Baiting and right wing Republican bullshit.

It's not about prevemting people and businesses from being successful. It's also not about prohibiting international trade.

I'd explain it for you but I think all you see are Commies under the bed.
