Be careful what progressive causes you donate to if you are Bernie Supporter...

Learned a group I donated to "End Citizens United" PAC has poured a lot of money into Hillary's hybrid-SuperPac "Ready PAC". Pulled my support and made it clear why in their donation request mailer.

Now have to make sure going forward I research exactly how these groups are spending their money.

Hilary followers, do just that, they follow their leader, a personality. They want her, regardless of her non-progressive stances.

Bernie supporters, support him because he represents their principled beliefs. If it was someone else, they'd support them too. Hence all the Hillary follow worry about Bernie or Bust scenarios.

But go ahead with your typical "Dodge" or other language parsing comment, which I'm sure is about to follow...

the will of the voters was overturned by some procedural shenanigans at the convention. Before that Bernie supporters all over DU were repeating the lie that corporations were donating to Hillary's campaign. And a day doesn't go by without three or four links to right-wing media bashing Hillary.

So I call it as I see it. If Bernie fans care about progressive principles, they're doing a pretty good job of hiding it.

overturned. I get that Bernie fans don't care, but superdelegates are actual Democrats. And Bernie hasn't done a very good job winning them over so far. I doubt that the dirty stuff is going to help him with that.

Even the media are finally acknowledging how deeply the DNC was in the bag for Hillary with the ridiculous initial debate scedules and so on.

Sorry but your crying now just sounds like rank hypocricy when even now you pretend as if the race was in any way fair before.

Enjoy Wisconsin.

For example, PP's political arm endorsed Hillary (which I understand, btw), but I contribute to PPFA which is a separate org that supports what they actually do - clinics and so forth.

I think an easy way to tell the difference is if your contribution is fully tax-deductible. In that case your contribution can't be used for political activity.

Please note I am undecided and not "anti" either of our candidates, although I am leaning one way. (today. Tomorrow it could be the other way.)

You really have to be very careful because as we've seen in this election saying you're progressive and being progressive are vastly different things. I mean just look at the Hillary campaign. We KNOW her campaign is not progressive even though she tries to convince people of it. Hell she's even resorted to copying Bernie's positions just to fool people. Thanks for posting this and reminding people.

Sun Apr 3, 2016, 01:10 PM

On the open secrets page for the PAC it lists all the candidates it has supported, but it doesn't show donations to other PACs and SuperPacs there so you have to search through all of the individual Clinton SuperPacs to find this information.

So frustrating!
