Does Camp Hillary's unforced error in Nevada say anything about her ability to "get things done"?

I've heard it many times, and I think there's a lot of truth in this, that presidential campaigns are very much about demonstrating organizational skills. That is to say, making sure that you know what needs to be done, that you have a plan of action, that you have all the right people showing up to where they're supposed to be, in order to secure the nomination. You would think that her campaign would have been urging her delegates in Nevada to keep up the enthusiasm, circle the date, and to show up to their conventions this weekend. But they didn't.

The fact that something like one third of her delegates couldn't even be bothered to show up to their county conventions this weekend, it's nothing short of an embarrassment. And quite frankly, it reflects badly on Hillary's ability to run a large organization, and her ability to get things done.

was totally oblivious to the actual process of how delegates are ultimately selected in a caucus state. They seem to think it's a lot like a primary state where the numbers of supporters on each side determine the final number of delegates, and that's that. No. In every caucus state I believe it's at least a two step and more likely a three step process, and interested delegates need to participate in each step.

So the problem would be with the local Clinton campaign, who apparently didn't fully understand it either. Although, to their credit, in Clark County they did try to totally disenfranchise the woman on the credentials committee so they could turn all the Bernie delegates into alternates.

In the end, the fact that so many of her delegates didn't show up at the next level speaks volumes. Always, in a caucus system, if you become a delegate to the next level you are told there and then where and when that next level will be. If getting off to attend is going to be a problem, then you shouldn't accept the delegate position.

Yes, sometimes things change and something comes up that keeps you from attending, but the drop-off in Hillary delegates is far, far beyond that happening.

5. I once was a delegate - I remember clearly that I had to go to the county and state conventions.

It's bizarre to me that so many Hillary delegates stayed home. It makes me wonder, who were all these people that showed up to the caucus back in February... ? It's a mystery, really.

7. From reports that I've read, about 2/3 of delegates didn't show

I was surprised by that.

Imagine, you are given responsibility to represent many other people's votes. And then you don't show? What the hell is with not giving a shit about the trust others place in you?

Let me just say. I would NEVER want to be in a bunker, facing a foe, with such unfaithful ASSHOLES! People who depended upon others to carry their will forward JUST DIDN'T SHOW UP!!!

FUCK!!!!! ALL THOSE NON-SHOWS WERE BUDDY FUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MANY PEOPLE WHO COULDN'T GET OFF THEIR ASS TO DO THE RESPONSIBILITY THAT THEY ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HEY YOU MOTHERS.....

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LEAVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND DON"T PRETEND TO REPRESENT THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

toward people who gave their trust to them.

I haven't a clue what would allow people to treat others who trust them so badly.

That really leaves me very frosted about the shallowness of people who aren't even on my side of the process.

GODDAM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11. The scary thing is overall it seems to be 2/3rds of the delegates from the precinct level caucuses
Sun Apr 3, 2016, 05:38 PM

Which is to say, A MAJORITY, of elected delegates didn't think it was important enough to show up to represent the will other's had entrusted in them.

THAT'S FUCKED UP!!

If 2/3rds of the guys I served with didn't give a fuck about their buddies, NONE(!!!) OF US would have returned from Vietnam alive!

I'm flat disgusted with HRC's delegates as human beings.

... so, using your measure, if she wins then she has a better ability to get things done than does Sanders. Sure, some things may slip through the cracks, but overall, especially if she's as bad as some people believe, it's pretty amazing that she's leading by quite a bit.
