Unless he has something to hide.

(1,446 posts)are not traditionally released, and since Hillary is in the lead and will face a repub who also has had an interesting enough past to be asked to give paid speeches, it won't be an issue.
Good thing for Bernie is that after he is forced out of the race, he too will be offered paid speaking gigs. AND, he won't have to worry about what his tax returns look like anymore.

(3,660 posts)and now that she has and he's not in Vermont with easy access to the returns Jane completed, he's expected to immediately.

(7,231 posts)Sanders just has to ask Jane to look for another year's files.
Did Hillary give her transcripts to Bill while saying "now don't you misplace these babies, wink-wink"?

(16,966 posts)standards for releasing material. Thanks for making her point, although you aren't the first, so forgive me if I place this here in response.
Tax returns are a uniform standard for all candidates.
"Transcripts" are a manufactured and arbitrary "concern" of Sanders to malign Hillary.
So Hillary is right to say that when it's a uniform standard for ALL candidates, then she will release those items in question.
That you all are comingling the two is pretty much her point, and it's a good one about the arbitrary requirements for her. It's doubly a good point since Sanders hasn't even complied with the uniform standards for all candidates, himself (tax returns for financial transparency). Quite hilarious he's haranguing Clinton when he's noncompliant himself. Pathetic, actually.

(16,966 posts)heavily invested in the anti-Hillary hooey to believe that, which is what Sanders obviously wants you to think. Others who are more objective see it as his desperate ploy to malign her.
There are quite a few of her speeches already online, so you have to also make a huge leap to think other speeches are different than the content of what is already seen. LOL, like maybe, just maybe those speeches will deviate from all the others.
The bottom line is that it doesn't matter what is in those speeches since it's obvious they will be twisted to fit Sanders' narrow narrative. It's all performance art for him, and she knows it. We all know it. You just want to see her slandered even more.

(7,143 posts)with the limited amount of information I've given a damn enough to internalize, I'd bet that they claim some of their assets and/or her income as expenses related to her role as campaign manager. If so, it's entirely possible that every claim is legal, but that they may look questionable. That, BTW, is being as generous as I can. It's not at all uncommon for filers to overstate the percentage of their assets used for business, and, even more common, to improperly depreciate and amortize said assets.
It's difficult to imagine any other scenario whereby they can claim such a large deductible.
At the very least, it's literally stupid for him to have his wife continuing to prepare their taxes, given his profile.

(42,862 posts)... it's almost as if he's afraid of something getting out. I mean, seriously now... he should have known what would be expected BEFORE he even decided to run. This isn't really a "surprise" that caught him "off guard". This is something that should have been ready to go within weeks of first announcing.
It makes me wonder if he's actually running to win the nomination, or if he's just running to be running ... or running to "make a statement" and to "be heard".
