Why do some people call Sanders minority support token?

I've noticed some people here when pictures are posted they'll firstly go right to the races in the pictures and tell us how white they are, but then when a minority is in a picture they will tell us these minorities are just tokens. How could you be any more offensive than to denigrate minorities for supporting a candidate just because that candidate also has lots of white support?

Interesting how some evidently think minorities cannot think or act individually.

But with that being said, it doesn't seem to be widespread either.

At least right now.

That it is so utterly racist to imply that minority voters for Sanders are 'wrong' or 'too white' for supporting their preferred candidate. Yet, those that proclaim such don't realize it.

It's pretty racist to imply that minority Clinton supporters are ill informed, suffer from stockholm syndrome, do what their leaders tell them etc etc.

The fact is, both sides treat minoriy voters as something that is a guaranteed unified block & that is a vile way to think.

Is 'token' the specific word usage or simply your interpretation of their sentiments? If the former, it would be rather intriguing to see the usage on DU linked to (and, as we're all rational enough to realize the wholly relevant and specific difference in usage between "a token of my sentiment" versus "a token sentiment", I'm confident that particular fallacy will be avoided by all involved).

See here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12511650572#post6

Though rightfully it has been hidden by jury.

It also included an initial comment by the same person mocking Sanders supporters for our lack of diversity... Basically the same type of attack with a different wording.

they don't like it that he may be able to unite all the factions under the cause of wealth inequality and government corruption.
