The Washington, D.C., Council voted to put Bernie Sanders on the Districts Democratic presidential primary ballot on Tuesday, according to NBC Washington.
The Vermont senators name had been left off of primary ballots due to a registration error by the local Democratic Party.
Both Sanders and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton filed their registration fees on time, but the party didnt submit paperwork until the day after the deadline. A voter filed a challenge against Sanders, initially keeping him from being registered alongside Clinton.
D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, who has endorsed Clinton, said she would sign legislation putting Sanders on the ballot.
