The Hillary camp wants to bring down Bernie by using a TABLOID. Isn't it funny how the Trump campaign is doing the same thing with Cruz - except in that case it's the National Enquirer.
Please proceed Madam Sec'y

(7,231 posts)most of the rest of us just care that she lost Wisconsin, BIG TIME. And the reason she is being rejected is pluriform, and her attitude (just smear the other candiadte) doesn't seem to improve her standing with the voters, now does it?
I suppose I should commend you for beating another horse than the long dead SEXISM (TM) charge, but this beast of burden seems dead-on-arrival. Why beat it?
msanthrope
(37,549 posts)Then you know nothing about NY...... let me tell you that Sanders remarks will play extremely poorly in the city and suburbs..... can I tell you how many parents here in the suburbs worry that another Sandy Hook is going to happen? Our kids now do shelter-in-place drills because of Sandy Hook.
Betty Karlson
(7,231 posts)And if the inaction on Sandy Hook preventing measures worries you so much, why are you supporting a candidate who was happy to go to an NRA-sponsored fundraising dinner?
msanthrope
(37,549 posts)Or, tbe "spinsored" event. If you are referring to a lobbyist who also worked for the NRA....well, no one who is politically savvy is buying that..lawyers and lobbyists work for a lot of different people.

Why as SOS did Hillary not do something about the heroin coming out of Asia? If Sanders is still responsible for VT loose gun laws, HRC is responsible for the heroin in this country.

(23,720 posts)There's a demand for guns in New York. If they didn't get them from VT, then they'd be getting them from some Southern "firewall" state where gun laws are just as loose.
Hillary owns the south.
As I said, dead kids are dead kids. Does it really matter how they get murdered?
If Sanders is responsible for guns going to NY. Hillary is responsible for heroin getting into this country and killing our kids.

120 deaths a day from heroin, yeah, I think they outnumber the deaths from gun shot wounds.

(14,255 posts)Very interesting how, all of a sudden, how much MONEY Bernie and his supporters are bringing into the DNC (to be sluiced back to Hillary) is way more important than actual issues. The drop in donations must have been a little noticeable. I have not donated to them since I found out about DWS' support of GOP cronies. Fuck that, to be blunt.

(50,303 posts)The Clinton campaign must think we have a short memory. The covers during the Lewinsky scandal should have made them swear off the rag completely, but if there's a faux Bernie scandal to be had, the past is forgiven. FYI, I wouldn't consider myself a "Bernie fanatic." I will admit to be a "Beatles fanatic" in the 1960's, but I like Bernie because he's running on what is possible rather than the status quo. Aim high, don't tread water.

And I do believe that anyone in the Hillary camp who thinks that Hillary will scoop up all of Bernie's supporters, if she wins the nomination, is a damned fool. (5,648 posts)....this isn't one of their trashy articles with dubious sources.
The publication has furnished a word for word record of every question the editorial board asked Bernie and every response Bernie provided to those questions. There is none of the normal "funny business" usually associated with the publication.
But it isn't the tabloid's reporting that is important here. Every major NY media source, most of them very well respected, have picked up on the story and are publishing selected segments of the interview, such as Bernie answers on how he he would break up the big banks, along with scathing comments indicating that he isn't ready for prime time. That's what has to have Bernie's campaign worried, and with good reason.

She doesn't have worry about the super delegates taking the nomination away from her if she wins the majority of pledged delegate. She doesn't have to worry because she didn't show her ignorance of the issues on which she has built her campaign in front of the nasty NY media. She doesn't have the victims of Sandy Hook accusing her of favoring gun manufacturers over their rights to address their grievances.
