Bernie will do well in the city and outside the city.

There are more liberals in NY than in wisconsin. Upstate NY also shares much in common with Vermont. Millions of young people and college students in NY plus large amounts of liberal democrats.

NY might be a rout for Hillary.

Much closer to Vermont (and Canada) than NYC. Lots of Bernie supporters in my neck-of-the-woods...

There are plenty of liberal Democrats who vote for Clinton. It's a big mistake to assume that she has no liberal support.

Bernie won 79% of that voting block.

Do you think there are more liberals in NY or in Wisconsin?

Meaning they can't vote in the Democratic primary. And NY has this crazy law where you have to change your party registration six months before the primary if you are already registered with another party.

that as long as the independent registered as a member of the Democratic party by the deadline, actually they can vote.

That is what we indies do in closed and semi-closed states.

I did the same with many here in Arizona.

And the Sanders campaign has been doing it nationally.

This idea that open primaries are the only friendly ones to Sanders is about to radically change.

Here's a link to the NYS registrations as of April 1, 2016. It's by county so scroll all the way to the bottom of page 10.

http://www.elections.ny.gov/NYSBOE/enrollment/county/county_apr16.pdf

Statewide fewer than half a million are registered independents, and there are some other parties people have registered by. But I think that the entire: He can't count on the Independents so Hillary wins! meme isn't going to be very accurate.

It means both states are alike and we should see similar results, no?

Also NY is much more liberal than Wisconsin. Obama only won WI by 7 in '12 vs 24 points in NY. Bernie doesn't need independents to win. Enough liberal democrats.
