Fuck Babs too.

Hillary obviously rattled by Bernie's BLOWOUT WIN in Wisconsin the other night so she ... loses IT BIGTIME... and sends her mouthpiece out to Declare ALL OUT WAR on Ole Bernie Sanders... LOVE IT! Now the people are beginning to see just WHO the REAL Hillary Clinton is...

(1,890 posts)so she can raise money. In order to do that she has to get her supporters to help her. This started when she said the Sanders campaign had to change it's "tone" and everyone including the Washington Post criticized her saying Sanders has not run a negative campaign. So now she is trying again. Pathetic. Hillary's true character is once again shining through.
Clinton planned to spend much of the rest of the day Thursday raising money. She is trying to fend off a strong challenge from Sanders in her adopted home state, as the formerly cordial Democratic race becomes increasingly nasty.

(1,890 posts)This is so silly. You guys have been pushing the Bernie needs to change his "tone" narrative so long that even writers at the Wash. Post are calling you out.
The idea that Bernie Sanders has been too negative to debate Hillary Clinton is ridiculous

(42,862 posts)... there's probably more than just one reason, but this one helps to illustrate exactly WHY it is that the people who KNOW HIM THE BEST have decided to NOT endorse him.

(12,504 posts)That troll Weaver, on the other hand, is passing along damaging tactics to Bernie. Bernie appears to given up on his core campaign values and is listening to Weaver. I think it is a huge mistake.

(80 posts)It seems like a fit of pique that he couldn't tamp down. Does he think that it will gain him more supporters?? I don't buy the sexism claims that some are making, but it is self-righteous as hell when you compare it to what she said about him. Bernie needs to realize that he will be subjected to extra vetting each time he claims that he is on his way to the White House. He needs to tell us what he would do to put his magnificent plans in place.

(6,342 posts)Get a man to question Hillary's qualifications and then feminists jump on him and scream "SEXISM!"
A political campaign is a very, very long vetting process. Hillary's qualifications are going to be questioned just as any male candidate's would be.

Bernie never promised to stay positive all the time. He
said that he would try.
He was attacked in an artsy smartsy sleazy way, and
answered by questioning her fitness.
If the media play for HRC, as they are wont to do,
because they don't want his nomination, they take
the blame as well.
Bernie has been a fighter for all his life, so it is silly
to expect of him not to counter the HRC campaign
attacks.
I am also sure that if his opponent were a man, he
would have responded the same way, but I have been here
too long to not realize that victimhood will be always
used in HRC's favor.

(5,272 posts)I've always liked Boxer and will continue to like her, but she's an establishment gal, and Hillary isn't the only DINO she's campaigned for. A certain Democrat(Lieberman) who turned independent right after losing the primary comes to mind, which is funny since Boxer was one of the ones to bash Sanders as not being a real Democrat. Well fuck, if Lieberman is a real democrat, and Bernie isn't, what the hell does the party stand for. Anyway, in the context of her already coming out and doing that shilling, this comment of hers is entirely worthless. Hopefully most people see through it.
As to Bernie's comment. Stupid. Not because he doesn't believe what he said. I think he meant it.But he probably has buyers remorse because contributing to this in-fighting where candidates say or imply that the other is unqualified is going to be damaging come the GE, whether it's Sanders or Clinton who gets the nod. Whether Hillary's record qualifies her or not, she's still a smart cookie who's "not so bad" on social issues, compared to republicans. I don't think Bernie wants to tank her in the general if he doesn't pull in enough delegates. I'm less sure that Hillary wouldn't prefer he tanked in the general though, which is probably in-line with the sentiment of most of the DNC.

(9,688 posts)Putting all manufactured outrage aside.
But more to the point, maybe Barbara Boxer can speak to the issues like her stance on single payer universal health care. Like her stance on government guaranteed public education through all levels required for a 21st century economy. Like putting some reins on wars of choice and on the cause of those wars of choice, war profiteering. Like ending a for profit prison industry, which is 100% parasitical and deadly to the welfare of the whole country.
But actual issues aren't in play, with a lot of established Dems. They seem to be oblivious.
