Why Hillary Supporters Called Themselves PUMA’s In ‘08

Now we hear from the Hillary Clinton camp that Bernie Sanders needs to tone it down. They say you’re allowed to keep running, but stop criticizing. But back in 2008 her supporters said the opposite. They called themselves “PUMA’s”. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.

"Diehard Hillary Clinton supporters who still refuse to accept that the nomination race is over have given themselves a name, Pumas, and a logo that the in-house lawyers at the Puma sportswear brand might like to take a look at. In the network of blogs where the name originated, it stood for "Party Unity, My Ass!" - a defiant shout of opposition to the notion that they should fall silent in order to speed the healing of Democratic wounds. Now that the Pumas have formed their own fundraising committee, however, they seem to have had a change of heart. According to their site, Pumapac.org, Puma stands for "People United Means Action", an exactly opposite sentiment, prompting the thought that if they don't iron out such inconsistencies in their message very soon indeed, there's a serious chance that Clinton might not be the next president.”*

Not to give some advantage to Hillary, of course, but to mindfuck with the Dem party?

I don't think the actual dem "pumas", and there were some, had anything like *that* motivation, but I think they were used. Rush, being the kind of guy he is, saw the opportunity right away and proposed it and continued to rake in fat profits.

But there was something very wrong already. Something wrong that Rush saw and was accustomed to working with. E.g. that fucking Carville, applauded on DU as being so savvy, so righteous, wearing those sneakers and looking so smug as he raked in the cash, his wife working for the other party. Skeletor and Maleficint. As if they don't engage in pillow talk like any other couple, as if political power couples are different. I never have been able to get my mind around that kind of Coke vs Pepsi politics where it's considered natural for a husband/wife team of political operators to be right at the top of the only two viable political parties, paid by top political players and the MSM and by PACs to play the game, representing the respective top candidates. If people can go along with that, no wonder they can say that Bill and Hillary are entirely distinct and that Bill doesn't represent Hillary, even when speaking at a rally in favor of her candidacy, even when they work together on everything.

There are a lot of clueless people...
