They buddy up to the black community when they need their votes. When conservative white voters get up in arms, the Clintons "evolve" to a more racially confrontational style. Then back again as need be.

I was shocked, given how Hillary used racial politics against then candidate Obama, that POC gave her overwhelming support. I still haven't figured that one out. Now that the black "firewall" in the South pretty much assured her nomination, the Clintons are free to appeal to the white redneck voters--and nothing does that better than a good, old fashioned Sister Souljah moment.
