John Podesta, Hillary Clintons campaign chairman, says its time for the U.S. government to release any evidence it has about the existence of alien forms of life in outer space.
Podesta, who was also a chief of staff to President Bill Clinton, told CNN that if Hillary Clinton is elected, shell ask for as many records about Area 51 in Nevada as the U.S. government has to be declassified.
I think that's a commitment that she intends to keep and that I intend to hold her to," Podesta told CNN.
Area 51 is a remote Air Force test and training range thats been the subject of conspiracy theories, including UFO sightings.

But good thing this wasn't a Sanders campaign manager - you know what would happen. It would be like Kucinich seeing a UFO.

(2,546 posts)That is the cheapest "con" I think I have ever heard at this level! So you can trust her on all of the MAJOR issues... NOT! But you would believe for a minute that she would declassify all of the X-Files? Podesta must think that we are all morons... Well of course he does!

(14,586 posts)I want single payer healthcare, stronger social security, better taxation of billionaires and big corporations, free state college for my kids and grandkids, the big banks broken up, Glass-Steagall updated and re-passed, Citizens United and other rulings detrimental to real democracy overturned, aggressive leadership in mitigating global warming, publically renegotiated ('fair' instead of 'free') trade deals, and a foreign policy that de-stresses war and instead promotes social and economic justice.
About Area 51? I guess 'Men in Black' and 'Independence Day' did it for me...

Come one people, Yes, there is a logical reason to believe that there is live somewhere else in the universe, but Area 51 aliens? Please, that's as logical as believing Hillary turned a $1000 investment in cattle futures into a 1 in 35 Trillion long-shot 10 month return of $100,000.

In what seems like an April Fools' Day prank story but is surprisingly real, Hillary Clinton's campaign chair, John Podesta, says that he has convinced Hillary Clinton to declassify as many documents as possible related to Area 51 and UFOs. On the matter of alien visitation, Clinton has previously stated that "I think we may have been (visited already). We don't know for sure." Meanwhile, Democratic rival Bernie Sanders has been dismissive of UFO talk. And on the other side of the isle, everyone surely already knows how likely Republican nominee Donald Trump feels about illegal aliens.
"The U.S. government could do a much better job in answering the quite legitimate questions that people have about what's going on with unidentified aerial phenomena," said John Podesta, who was also a chief of staff to President Bill Clinton.
As much as modern life seems like 'Survivor'.

(55,745 posts)While there is much noise, there is a small, yet strong signal. Good information on UFOs has been documented from more than a few good researchers and writers, including J. Allen Hynek. He said the subject exists at the edge of reality. He found reports involving photographic and radar data particularly important.

UFOs? Who cares? Any flying object that you can't figure out what it is by definition a UFO, whether it's the ISS, migrating birds, or a plastic bag.
