I Know this is from FoxNews, I am just putting it out here because it is interesting.By Catherine Herridge, Pamela K. Browne Published April 08, 2016
One of the notches on Guccifers cyber-crime belt was allegedly accessing the email account of Clinton confidant Sidney Blumenthal, one of Clintons most prolific advice-givers when she was secretary of state. It was through that hack that Clinton's use of a personal account -- clintonemail.com -- first came to light.
Former law enforcement and cyber security experts said the hacker, whose real name is Marcel Lehel Lazar, could now that hes in the U.S. help the FBI make the case that Clintons email server was compromised by a third party, one that did not have the formal backing and resources of a foreign intelligence service such as that of Russia, China or Iran.
Because of the proximity to Sidney Blumenthal and the activity involving Hillarys emails, [the timing] seems to be something beyond curious, said Ron Hosko, former assistant director of the FBIs Criminal Investigative Division from 2012-2014.

(4,213 posts)A Romanian justice ministry spokeswoman said details of the extradition request had not yet been made public.
The U.S. Justice Department said in 2014 that a U.S. federal grand jury had indicted Marcel Lazar Lehel on charges of wire fraud, unauthorized access to a protected computer, aggravated identity theft, cyberstalking and obstruction of justice.
The United States accuses Lehel, known by aliases including "Guccifer" and "Small Fume", of stealing data from email and social media accounts of U.S. celebrities and politicians.
Lehel was sentenced by a Romanian court to four years in jail in 2014 for illegally accessing email accounts of public figures "with the aim of getting ... confidential data" and is serving another three-year term for other offences."
It could very well involve HRC, but Reuters doesn't specify that.

But there is no crime here, nothing to see just move along. By the way did you see what Trump just said?.....

(6,117 posts)Among the hacked emails were ones from Clinton which were not in the State Department system and not reviewed under Freedom of Information requests. That is what turned a request for possibly embarrassing emails into a criminal investigation.
I agree that the extradition of Guccifer is so his testimony can provide the basis for introducing specific evidence. This looks serious to me, but what do I know.
