Clinton did not say Sanders wasn't qualified to be president.

On "Morning Joe" Scarborough tried and tried in five different phrasings to get Hillary Clinton to say Bernie Sanders was not qualified. Clinton would not take the bait no matter how Scarborough tried. He even had to admit that in his summary at the end of the show.

Where the accusation that Hillary said Bernie was not qualified came from a story the next day in the "Washington Post" by a reporter/blogger who saw that "Morning Joe" episode and sensing a chance to get clicks and attention, spun what actually happened by writing falsely that Clinton said Sanders was unqualified to be president. That never happened.

The Sanders camp, believing it, took the bait and Bernie, in retaliation, came out with his statement that Hillary was not qualified to be president and gave several "reasons" why.

The next day, in another section of the paper, another writer debunked the previous days story altogether. That's right, debunked a story published in the same paper.

Fill me in. Did Bernie invite himself or did the Vatican?

All I know is it's not a good week for Bernie, what with the "Daily News" interview, the "Morning Joe" not qualified falsehood and now the Vatican he said-they said dispute.

Bishop Marcelo Sanchez Sorondo, the academy's chancellor, said he arranged for Sanders' invitation, although Bloomberg reports that the bishop "repeatedly declined to say who initiated the contact."

"Father Federico Lombardi, the Pope's spokesman told the Italian news agency Ansa that the Academy of Social Sciences invited Sanders..."

If you say is true, Camp Pinocchio should have not went off half cocked base on a newspaper headline. Bernie said "QUOTE, UNQUOTE" that Hillary said he was "not qualified". The quotation marks make it a certified lie and Camp Pinocchio cannot spin it any other way.
