2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumShould Sanders make some staff changes?
Twice in the last week or so Sanders has gone public in response to events for which he didn't have all the facts. I don't see Sanders watching CNN or whatever, or opening all his mail. So someone told him about the conference invite and about Hillary's interview where she questioned the thoroughness of his research on big banks. Anyway, I assume they did. I would think one important role of staff in a campaign is to thoroughly research information BEFORE it's passed on to the candidate. Does the very quality of his staff speak more about Sanders' presidential temperament, or should these half-cocked responses be laid totally at his door?

(68,868 posts)But I don't think anyone is going to be hiring Jeff Weaver in the future.

(47,803 posts)Weaver can certainly use a personality transplant. But looking at where they started, how much they have raised from REAL PEOPLE, and injecting long-ignored issues into the political dialogue, the Sanders team has worked a miracle, regardless of the ultimate "winner" of the nomination.
