WtF! Mayor Bill de Blasio jokes about ‘colored people’ time with Hillary Clinton

snip

Mayor Bill de Blasio joked on Friday night at an event with Hillary Clinton that the reason he didn’t endorse her sooner was because he operates on “CP time,” which is short for “colored people time”:

Video here from Gothamist. The joke happens at the 8:55 mark and appears to have fallen flat with the audience. Hillary Clinton finishes the joke by saying “CP time” really means “cautious politician time.” Nice try at a save Hillary, but no:

It is inappropriate for white people to say what POC say to each other that POC take as affectionate teasing. It looked awkward.

And they have had that conversation with their son. I have heard this same joke from local PoC. It is not politically expedient, I will grant you this. But especially the local PoC of a certain age, that be 30 and bellow, don't particularly like the Clintons. And that expression is common among them.

But given that the latest from the Hillary camp appears to be to pretend Bernie saying he has serious questions about Hillary's judgment based on her past positions and voting record is somehow sexist, I'm going to have to say that this skit was racist.

I'm not sure what idiot thought 2 white people yucking it up about CP time would be good for a laugh. Particularly when Bill Clinton was known for never being on time for anything.
