The hub bub over Bernie's Vatican visit reminds me of how the GOP treats Obama.

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It doesn't matter if Bernie attends or not, or meets the Pope or not. His detractors will find a way to fling mud all over it one way or another.

Very distasteful to say the least, and as pathetic as the day is long.

Except McCain didn't lie about being invited by the pope.

Which he did. At great expense. And the right wing was frothing over it much as the right wing seems to be frothing at Bernie here on DU.

But since she panders to the wealthy consistently it's a dog bites man story so it doesn't get much coverage.

It wouldn't have gotten a fraction of the coverage and criticism otherwise.
