I don't think she even rejected Grand Dragon Will Quigg's endorsement.

Bernie rejected endorsements from Martin Shkreli and Jesse Ventura.

I've used the CPT joke before, so I certainly can't be mad at anyone else for using it or call them a racist.

which is he made a racist comment. She doesn't have to dismiss his endorsement but he should apologize.

I am bi-racial, and my mother would never have used AA slang around her in-laws and neither would my very white partner do it around mine. It would simply be inappropriate.

What people do in private with their family is one thing. What major politicians can get away with is something else.

older and raised in a Southern state. What I called being appropriate was simply called being polite when I was a boy.

When I was a teen, yes, my cousins and I called each other 'niggers' all the time. My dad even called me 'one big smart nigger' but they were all black. My mother, even in the privacy of our home, never would have and never did use that word even in jest as slang.

I don't care if he is married to an AA and has bi-racial kids, using AA slang in public as a joke as a white dude was inappropriate. In that moment, it was racist. All he has to do is just say, sorry, fucked up. Is it really that hard?

Hopefully Bernie's campaign will join them. Please, Bernie, go there.

But politically it was a bonehead move. By definition, the candidate's name and the phrase "colored people" appearing in the same news story, even if it is just to explain a bad joke, is not helpful to the campaign.
