Jimmy Carter doesn't think much of Hillary's time as SoS

says John Kerry cleaned up her mess.

Now, Carter is setting his sites on Hillary Clinton specifically. Her actions (or lack thereof) as Secretary of State got Carter’s attention, and he wasn’t afraid to air those grievances to Time Magazine. The ex-President said that Hillary really didn’t do much to create peace in the country, as one would hope the Secretary of State would strive to do, at the very least.

Carter gave this statement via a phone interview for Time Magazine:

“In this occasion, when Secretary Clinton was Secretary of State, she took very little action to bring about peace. It was only John Kerry’s coming into office that reinitiated all these very important and crucial issues.”

Carter said that John Kerry’s work in the Middle East is “notable” and that he has “great admiration” for the Secretary of State. Mr. Carter says that he and Kerry correspond through email fairly regularly. The ex-President says he enjoys hearing what Kerry thinks about certain subjects, but did not elaborate on the content of those subjects.

What peace did Carter achieve? His Israel deal collapsed as soon as he left office.

Cal me a cultist if it makes you feel better. But you'll be calling Hillary Madame President in January.

Who left a couple failed states in her wake. Nothing she could ever do would make up for the misery that has her fingerprints on it.

Its ASTOUNDING what she gets away with.

Jimmy Carter is not "owned" and is thus free to speak.

Democratic pols risk their careers to state the obvious much less nuance and support the status quo.

Great man, lousy at the job, lasted one term and got very little accomplished. In fact you could say his term's foreign policy record was a damn disaster.

So what makes him the expert on effective diplomacy on behalf of the state? He didn't do much of it himself until he was in the private sector.

he would have stayed out of the Ukraine mess.

And he should have gotten rid of the neo-cons infesting the State Dept. that Hillary failed to purge. The ones she inherited from Bush.

I've always wondered, after seeing her in action, if the POTUS wasn't working on the "keep your enemies closer" theory. At least she wasn't in a position to bad mouth him as SOS.
