Mary Bono Mack’s Latino Gaffe, and Dismissing Minority Constituents “Third World Toilet.”

California Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack’s latest comment that she’s dismissing Latino voters until after the election is part of a long-term pattern of behavior in which she’s systematically disrespected, and ignored, minority voters in her district.

This week she said she would ignore Latino voters until after the election, earlier this month the Republican candidate for California’s 36th district suggested that supporting Native American culture was anti-American; and in 2006 she described the heavily Latino part of her district as a “Third World Toilet.”

The 36th district is 39.4% Latino, a number that grew after redistricting. And, according to Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Western Regional Press Secretary Amber Moon, the 36th is 7% more Latino than the district Bono Mack currently represents.

Perhaps because Bono Mack sees Latino neighborhoods as “toilets,” she does not appear to see the need to either campaign to them, or talk to constituents there. She recently told a group at the Indian Wells Rotary Club that, after November, she would “try my hardest to speak to Latino voters.” She continued, according to mydesert.com, “This election, I’m a little bit hamstrung. But I will do my best.”

In the context of her campaign’s most recent attack on her Democratic opponent, Dr. Raul Ruiz, these comments paint a bigger picture.

Mary Whitaker Bono Baxley Mack is running the vilest campaign I have ever seen. Her attack ads are beyond disgusting, especially the Koch Brothers ones. Nothing but lies, slander, and distortions.

The only interest she represents are her own -- she has spent her whole life looking for another millionaire to marry. She's on her third.

When I see her face on TV, I want to vomit.

She's a little bit "hamstrung" because she's spending most of her time in her real home state of Florida campaigning for her third husband.

smart democrat. Not only is she a vile person, her husband (Connie Mack running against Nelson in Florida) is an out and out drunk. He's hardly ever there when legislation is going on..he's just awful. These two need to go...away.

Sonny wasn't a bad mayor for Palm Springs, actually. Then a group of local Republican businessmen wanted to run him for Congress, but convinced him he had to run as a Republican in order to win. So he did. According to Cher, Sonny wasn't a Republican, but was merely an opportunist. In Congress, he was kind of a cipher -- just a reliable vote for the GOP.

He married this waitress and then had his fatal accident. She got his seat in Congress and just turned into a drone, doing what she was told by the RNC.

Palm Springs itself is somewhat liberal, but outside the city, it get's pretty red pretty fast.

Then, Mary married a guy from Colorado (I believe) who was a wealthy business owner. I met him one night at a party, and he seemed to be a real nice guy. (Not hard on the eyes either.)

Then, Mary set her sights on Connie Mack and married him. Now, she's pretty much a Florida resident, but comes out here to scam the GOP voters and party with the one percent -- of which we have quite a few.

that while at Harvard, Raul Ruiz took part in a Thanksgiving Day protest in Plymouth. The cops went rogue and started clubbing participants. Ruiz was arrested for trying to protect a tribal elder who was being beaten. The charges were dropped the next day and the cops had to pay reparations of $100,000. Bono has turned this into ads saying that he is unAmerican and "hates Thanksgiving."

They were here first, and their contributions to thi country and our culture are immeasurable.

And I seem to recall that the whole desert area has a significant Native American presence, not to mention a high Mexican-American population. They need to kick this crazy golddigging bitch to the curb!

The woman licking Bono's tit is a former billionaire's wife at a booze bash at their former mansion and private 18-hole golf course in the Palm Springs area. The estate at one time had a full-time staff of 120 people. The couple divorced and the "licker" has now fallen on hard times. The estate was auctioned off.

Even if the Latino turnout is only HALF percentage-wise of the white turnout, she would need at minimum 62% of the white vote to win. That's a very steep hill to climb.

There are some communities where you could drop a bomb and not hit a Democrat. The city next to mine for six months out of the year is the richest zip code in the country. Eighty five percent of the people live in gated communities.

He was the son of farm workers and is from the local area. When he wanted to go to medical school, he went door to door to local businesses, asking them to donate to his expenses and promising to return to work in the community. And he did.
