2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumDoes anyone know how many times Hillary was booed last night?
I think I counted four times
Also, how many times did the audience actually laugh *at* her?
Thanks!

(38,437 posts)You might try something new; you know, something reflecting maturity.
But I expect nothing different from those who love the booing and embrace misogynist language.
I am assuming that Drumpf will be your default candidate when Methuselah is bounced in a couple of weeks.

(38,437 posts)The irony is probably lost on you, but it amuses me.

(5,420 posts)But we have come to expect these projection techniques from Hillary and her supporters. We have watched the republicans use them for years. You are right that it is sometimes amusing, but not quite like it fits in your head.

(38,437 posts)It seems like a bit a whining to me, but please tell what has offended you tender sensibilities, 2pooped2pop.

(3,660 posts)But I had thought it a bit weird since you supported Hillary...

(5,420 posts)It didn't offend me, in particular. It just shows that you don't understand irony. You probably should have looked it up first, I guess.

Sanders:
Couldn't answer basic questions to an editorial board on his pet issues.
Couldn't say how Hillary's vote benefitted Wall Street which is a central plank of his campaign.

(10,559 posts)buy into their potential for greatness and we either love or hate them based on their story. Results can also change week to week depending on what new bits-and-pieces we learn from more performances, too. Lastly, once someone is crowned the winner, they may or may not be able to supply "hit songs" in the way of keeping their campaign pledges.
Good analogy!
Kind of depressing, though.
Sigh.

(31,533 posts)the audience to remain silent during the debate. To me, this is just an indication of bad behavior on the part of the audience.

(68,696 posts)Bernie appeared clueless and could not name one instance where Hillary gave the banks something...not one...I looked at him and before the bad behavior on his part and his supporters part, I voted for him in Ohio...and wondered what the hell was I thinking. The guns and foreign policy are deal breakers for all but the most fervent Bernie supporters. He would lose so badly...the GOP would get everything.

(22,651 posts)The D 'debates' weren't as 'Showie' lacking depth of discussion as the republican debates but they didn't satisfy me.
Let the two of them have at each other for an hour or two, freeform.
