(2,353 posts)Its a drop in the bucket for the state. 28000 people really is not an indicator of anything. It just means those that already voting for him want to see what he has to say. I doubt he even wins in Brooklyn.

(25,270 posts)The crowds he draws. How he raises money. Hillary's 'yuugh' unfavorability numbers. Bernie's ability to beat the Repug nominee. I just don't get it.

(15,480 posts)The comparison is just pathetic! "About" a hundred people - the reporter doesn't give the source of this estimate, but obviously it would be beyond humiliating to admit she couldn't draw even 100 people. One of the local folks commenting on the article had this to say: "According to the Countys Parcel Access the rented space in this building obviously doesnt hold more than 40 or 50 people at best..." Only photo is of Chelsea alone - no one behind her or next to her, let alone a long shot of any kind of crowd. And Dutchess County is where the Clintons have their token home and where Chelsea got married. Locals showing next to zero support for the Clintons.
Speaking in the Town of Poughkeepsie today, Chelsea Clinton praised her mother and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, slammed her opponents and discussed health care, gun control and abortion rights.
Speaking a few hours before Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was scheduled to hold a rally at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in the City of Poughkeepsie, Chelsea Clinton addressed about 100 people who packed the Civil Service Employee union's office.

Bernie Sanders storms Poughkeepsie (headline)
Bernie Sanders brought his populist message to the banks of the Hudson River Tuesday night, rallying a packed audience of supporters at Marist College.
Speaking for just under an hour, the senator from Vermont blamed income inequality and economic hardship on Wall Street greed and cost-prohibitive college education, themes that were cheered on by an audience marked by its youth. In the hours before the rally, the capacity crowd had waited in long lines across the campus to get in.
"This is not a moment to elect a new president. It is a moment to transform America," said Sanders, a week before the April 19 primary. Sanders is the first presidential candidate to make a primary stop in Dutchess. Republican Donald Trump will hold a rally Sunday at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center.
In the arena and two overflow areas with monitors, about 4,100 people attended the speech, not including press, according to Marist College.
