Apparently you don't know what a dogwhistle is, and possibly you don't know what a ghetto is.

Now I'd better go collapse ( but there were Jewish ghettoes too. In the rest of the diaspora Jews refer to their communities that way still as well. Hell in my town Mexican Jews still refer to the main area of residence as a ghetto internally...and it is not a poor neighborhood). So there is that historic disconnect. That was a call to the media...directly. At least in my view being well..Jewish, and understanding that layer that this poster will never, ever whatsoever, and willfully so, will understand

Dime on dollar the family referred to the hood that way. I know, my dad did...same generation. And it has not died abroad. This is why to my ear that was a call on the media. One that was not understood. But there was no meanness intended

type "Atlanta Ghettos" into google and you will get locations listed in Atlanta that are poor and AA (basically anything on the southside of the Metro). It is a well known fact that people use Ghetto to refer to poor AA communities in a negative connotation. The first step to combating dog whistles like ghetto is to speak the truth. Just as Senator Sanders called it like it is when asked about Superpredators.

That qualifier matters. When I visit mom in Mexico City, no there is no defined one geographically. The Jewish community of Eastern European descent still refers to the community that way.

I do see a lot of us Sanders supporters calling it out. But, it needs to be something addressed with media attention.
