NYC turnout was 9% lower than than of NY State as a whole which was an already abysmal 29% and one of the very lowest in the United States, the lowest of all Democratic States.

So the real question is are voters showing up and will they show up? I'm hoping so.

It is a fact that more than half of the national drop off in turnout in 2014 was produced by just four States, NY, CA, OH and TX. Big States with Small Turnouts drag the national count down low.

Only long lines on general election evenings. Sometimes one of the old lever machines would jam. Other than that things run mostly smoothly.

....in 2008, blacks in Harlem lined up to vote for our President, Barack Obama. I would have waited twice that long.

No ballots. My friend was told to "call & complain to someone" & that ballots "would be there within the hour. This was a 9 a.m.
