whereas Dinosaurs had no inkling of their imminent extinction...

DINO's merely don't acknowledge theirs...

regardless of today...or tomorrow...or the next couple of months...

there will come a change in the Democratic Party...back toward the core principles it has embraced in its past and rejecting the corporatist/big money influences it has experienced since the '80s...

the Party will either swing toward its progressive post-FDR roots, the Party of FDR, Truman, JFK, RFK, McCarthy, McGovern and Carter...and yes, we know how things went after Carter...or continue to be lead by center-right conservatives...and the only thing the Third Way/old-DLC has brought the Party are two Presidents (great achievements) and a total loss of control of Congress and governorships and state houses...

there is a reason that Independents are the largest growing political demographic...and the Party is not poised to get them to join...in fact, the DNC seems to have an integrated program to minimize any outside influence that doesn't embrace Big Money...

the void to the left will be filled one way or the other...and there will either be a rejuvenated Democratic Party or a splintering of the Party...which might be the 'evolution' the Party needs...

liberals and other Democrats do not have their own party, much less make up the base of a strong national party. Those reasons alone would keep them from fulfilling what from my view is a very silly threat. The radicals to our right, whose creed is always some variety of a self-defeating "my way or no way" has always stopped itself. But if a perfect storm should come along and make it more realistic, we'll stop it.

The Democratic Party and its sometimes wobbly but unbroken liberal ideology have survived for 225 years. We'll survive anti-Democrat hostility and fantasies of takeover, believe me. It's our duty -- for the sake of the nation.

They are always able to join us if they choose. The door is always open. and they often do. But if you don't choose, Beedle, go make your own party.

When the Democrats through the DLC became beholden to big money and power, there was really no place left for the rest of us. The money and power folks did not need to stand for the lesser of us in the party. They did not have to take positions which would benefit us.

The power grab was described by one DLC member as the "intellectual leveraged buyout" of the party.

The Wise Geek says that a leveraged buyout is also known as a hostile takeover.

A leveraged buyout is a tactic through which control of a corporation is acquired by buying up a majority of their stock using borrowed money. It may also be referred to as a hostile takeover, a highly-leveraged transaction, or a bootstrap transaction. Once control is acquired, the company is often made private, so that the new owners have more leeway to do what they want with it. This may involve splitting up the corporation and selling the pieces of it for a high profit, or liquidating its assets and dissolving the corporation itself.

I do have some advice however, advice I had not considered until a democrat went full on swift -boat Carl rove, David Brock.

If you are going to vote the "lesser of two evils, why not just vote for the inevitable result of doing so?

Evil cannot be extinguished by evil, only consumed eventually by the greater evil and since Hillary is the lesser evil, she will be consumed and make even greater the great evil that is the immortal Deity!

Cthulhu 2016

because no matter which lesser evil you choose (if you choose evil at all) the greater evil will only consume it and run things anyway! Lets cut out the ceremonial middle-man (or woman) and get on with the inevitable destruction and mayhem!

Vote Cthulhu which is the greatest evil if you like evil at all, why not, he will only consume all lesser evils and run things regardless.

then the corporist Dino's have won.

They will basicly be told your not welcomed In Democratic party.

They are told vote for us to keep republicans out of office but besides that shut up while we work with republicans on a
centrist, neocon, corporist agenda.and help do away what dems in 20th century acheived from FDR-Carter.

It's not just GOP that may be heading into trouble.
