HRC Needs NY to Remain Viable; Bernie Will Win Nomination & the Presidency W/ or W/O New York

.... In 8 out of 10 national polls, Hillary Clinton’s favorability ratings are negative by 15 points or more. According to recent CBS and NBS/WSJ polls, Clinton holds negative favorability ratings by 23 and 24 point margins, respectively. A progressive said to “get things done” won’t be able to win the White House with such negative national ratings.

In contrast, Bernie Sanders is the only leading candidate with positive favorability ratings, and this has nothing to do with Clinton being more “vetted.” Bernie doesn’t need private servers and speaks to millions of people .....

.... Sanders is the best chance to defeat Trump, especially since Clinton could face DOJ indictment. I also discuss on CNN New Day that Clinton’s white privilege allows her to circumvent almost any scandal, even issues that Bernie Sanders couldn’t survive politically.

Clinton and her top aides are scheduled to be interviewed soon, according to The Los Angeles Times in a piece titled Clinton email probe enters new phase as FBI interviews loom:

Federal prosecutors investigating the possible mishandling of classified materials on Hillary Clinton’s private email server have begun the process of setting up formal interviews with some of her longtime and closest aides, according to two people familiar with the probe, an indication that the inquiry is moving into its final phases...

No dates have been set for questioning the advisors, but a federal prosecutor in recent weeks has called their lawyers to alert them that he would soon be doing so, the sources said. Prosecutors also are expected to seek an interview with Clinton herself, though the timing remains unclear...

The meetings also are an indication that much of the investigators’ background work - recovering deleted emails, understanding how the server operated and determining whether it was breached - is nearing completion.

“The interviews are critical to understand the volume of information they have accumulated,” said James McJunkin, former head of the FBI’s Washington field office.

If any other politician in American history were interviewed by the FBI, before an election, would you vote for this person?

They are fairly wise and they will not vote for the failing Hillary campaign. They see us rising, they see the revolution growing daily and they will get with us or give democracy the finger. I think they will keep their hands in the pockets and do the correct thing and show Hillary her retirement papers.

7. So, let me understand this
Tue Apr 19, 2016, 12:40 PM
Apr 2016

The math is against Sanders.

He has to win 67% of remaining delegates to win the nomination

If Clinton wins by 10% (likely) today then that goes up to 70%

If Clinton wins the April 26 races by a 5 point margin on average (likely) then that goes up to 78%

So the only probable way for Sanders to win is if Clinton is out of the race and you think that she will be indicted.

Therefore the hope of the Sanders campaign is on an indictment of Clinton.

21. From the NBC article
Tue Apr 19, 2016, 06:43 PM
Apr 2016
http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/first-read/first-read-how-new-york-could-change-delegate-math-n557571

Clinton must win 33% of remaining delegates to reach 2383 magic number

Sanders must win 67% of remaining delegates to reach 2383 magic number

Yet here's how a 10-point win in New York could change the math:

In pledged delegates, Clinton would hold a lead of 269 delegates (with Washington delegates to still be allocated)

Clinton 1423
Sanders 1154
Clinton must win 41% of remaining pledged delegates to get a majority in pledged delegates

Sanders must win 59% of remaining pledged delegates to get a majority in pledged delegates

In overall delegates (pledged + super), Clinton would hold an overall lead of 691 delegates

Clinton 1884
Sanders 1193
Clinton must win 30% of remaining delegates to reach 2383 magic number

Sanders must win 70% of remaining delegates to reach 2383 magic number

So if Clinton wins New York by 10 percentage points, Sanders' magic-number percentage would go up to 70% -- and it would become 78% if Clinton wins the April 26 contests by a 55%-45% average. Sanders appeared on "Today" this morning, and he acknowledged the current public polls that show him trailing in New York. "Let's look at the real poll tomorrow," he said. "We have a message that is resonating all over this country."

decent chance to attend college, decent health care, decent election financing and a decent democracy that works for all.

It would be nice if the FBI was decent, too, and held the rich and powerful to the same account as us peons. But we're not asking for the Moon. It would be good to just go back to the decency we once had in this country, of opportunity for all. That we need fairies and unicorns to get it is a measure of how bad things have become for most people. But you wouldn't be worried about that, would you? You trust in the Reagan-Clinton "trickle down" fairy.

He can't win the nomination without a thunderbolt from the sky at this point. He can't win via the process. He needs something else to happen.

I voted in my little rural town, no line, smooth sailing.

All my fears dispelled. I was still properly registered as a Dem.

The ballot was easy to understand, the machine accepted my paper ballot and confirmed that my vote was counted.

Yay!!!

In fact, I spent more time talking with the polling staff then I did voting.

And as I write these comment, the phone just rang.

Bernie Campaign wanted to make sure I have voted.

It's all happening!!

Go Bernie!!

The other good thing about her dropping out of the race is that I will save some money. I was prepared to give Hillary another $2700 when the general election started, but now that it's going to be Sanders, I only have to set aside $27.

He needs to win the remaining states by wide margins, which is unlikely. Plus, the party wants Hillary.
