<...>
Although Senator Sanders and his supporters have accused Clinton of being bought, Sanders himself has reportedly taken donations/money from Clintons Democratic Political Action Committee (HILLPAC) to help win his seat in the U.S. Senate.
Clinton's political action committee, HILLPAC, raised $272,477 and spent $327,484 in March, according to the group's filing to the Federal Election Commission.
The senator spread the money far and wide, particularly on fellow Democrats running for Senate and on state party organizations.
Two congressmen trying to make it to the Senate also got boosts from Clinton. Rep. Bernie Sanders, who is running for the seat held by retiring Vermont lawmaker Jim Jeffords, received $10,000

In 2006, when Sanders ran for the Senate, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee pumped $37,300 into his race and included him in fundraising efforts for the party's Senate candidates.
The party also spent $60,000 on ads for Sanders, and contributed $100,000 to the Vermont Democratic Party -- which was behind Sanders even as he ran as an independent.
Among the DSCC's top contributors that year: Goldman Sachs at $685,000, Citigroup at $326,000, Morgan Stanley at $260,000 and JPMorgan Chase & Co. at $207,000.

The last thing he wants is the GOP in the WH.

(146,317 posts)Many of his supporters do not want him to do that, and say they'll refuse to listen to him. How odd, huh?

(22,145 posts)Sanders didn't take/or even need money from outside sources because his campaigns were door-to-door! He didn't need money to advertise etc.

The lyrics to the songbird's melodious trill go something like this:

(5,946 posts)was her decision. she had nothing to do with the give.
Sanders said he did not create a PAC, he did not have a dedicated PAC, not that he would not accept any money from one. He is not asking them to donate
And about the Goldman Sachs money - that really came from the DNC who was backing his campaign. Notice they were not running around saying he was not a democrat and had no right to run under the party. Like they would have been thrilled if he ran third party this year. Sanders never went to Goldman Sachs and and asked them to donate. He had has kept his campaign apart from corporate. that should be respected instead of trying to connect him through third parties. If you are upset the Democratic party donated to Sanders (after all he is not bowing down and kissing the ass the the chosen one. Nor has he dropped out like so many others (looking at you Biden) under the strangle hold pressure of the DNC) just don't give to the DNC anymore. And he does not use lobbyists as bundlers.
these stories are so far flung I hope the people who write them die of embarrassment after the heat of the primary after Hillary loses because so many people just won't vote for her,I am not talking about me, but I am talking about the people who have told me she is a liar, both democrats and and republicans. She is damaged material and protecting her in the primary fro any other competition was the worst idea by the greatest loser of all time D W-S. I only hope she loses her own primary and then her DNC job. Primaries make a winning candidate stronger, it only weakens an already weak candidate.
