most people don't want what "you" (collective) want. They want smart policies that work, not pie-in-the-sky economy-wrecking ideas that have zero chance of working even if they could be implemented.

FDR took over when the country was coming out of the depression. The recent recession was NOTHING like the depression. And FDR had majorities in both houses of congress, and the national debt was dramatically lower (as a %) than it is now. And FDR's programs were targeted at solving the problems the people were facing due to the depression.

Bernie is just a panderer. He is promising free stuff for everyone and then lying about whose going to pay for it and how much it will cost. Bernie's spending isn't about fixing the economy after a depression. It's just about pushing America towards outright socialism through massive tax hikes on everyone - including the middle class.

People don't want that. Which is why he lost the nomination.
