So, now that Hillary is going to be the nominee... what do we call Bill?

I am genuinely curious.

Of course, for a woman, it's "First Lady".

First Man?

First Gentleman?

I guess his title of Mr President will always supersede any "First <X>" title, but if we were not a POTUS, what would the socially correct term be?

Protocol also dictates that ex-Presidents are called "Mr President" for life. I would guess that title supersedes First Gentleman?

Will they be introduced as Mister and Mrs President? Mrs and Mister President? Mrs President and Mr President?

That is actually the most badass title ever. Two married people both holding the office of the most powerful person on the planet. Never happened before, might never happen again.

That is limited to "Senator", "Justice", and "Ambassador" (and only for certain ambassadors, who carried rank in person).

"President" is a title of one who temporarily "presides" over a body (the VP is called "Mr. President" when he's in the Senate chamber, for instance, because he presides over it), so the correct protocol is to stop calling someone "Mr. President" as soon as the new one is sworn in. Common usage hasn't honored that protocol at all, though.

By common practice he's entitled to the courtesy title of President Clinton, as are Carter and both George Bushes.

I suspect that if Ms Clinton is elected Chelsea will take on the ceremonial duties associated with first lady.
