With supposedly 95% of the results in, the NY primary voter turnout is less than 21%.

Just 21% of New York's registered 11,701,568 voters had their votes counted so far tonight. And the over 18 population on New York is actually more than 14.5 million, so that means just 16% of the residents of New York over 18 cast their ballots today.

Even among registered Democrats, only 29% had their votes counted so far today, with 95% of the voting in. And the turnout of registered Republicans was the exact same tepid 29%.

It's just weird to me that so few people could be bothered to vote or that so few people had their votes counted even though they tried to vote or both.

We really do need a political revolution in this country, but too many of us are either asleep at the wheel or else too busy running on the gerbil wheel just trying to survive.

Seems like 2008 had 1.8 million votes as well.

Republicans might have had a higher turnout, not sure.

And given that Sanders wins mostly caucuses which have inherently lower turnout, your remark isn't nearly as witty as you think it is.

I seem to recall you had a bit of a problem with those particular types of voting.

Too many folks are tuning this election out thinking the game is rigged and their votes don't count. And they have good reason to after what happened.

I think we've going to have to go thru a really bad patch before things change for the better.

THEY actually know the real results. So you might as well send THEM a message whenever you can.

When first had elections the UN would stepped in and called election a fraud. It is sad that we are suppose to be the shining example of people voting and yet we have one most if not corrupt but appearance of corrupted voting system.

and trust me, I often gripe about that turnout... during June elections.

But hey, it's cool... I suppose...

I won't gripe (as much) as I usually do with San Diego anymore.
