Clinton changed on torture - (Hillary supported torture When Bush was torturing people.)

Clinton changed on torture

Hillary Clinton "actually differed with (John McCain) by arguing for exceptions for torture before changing positions."
— Barack Obama on Wednesday, January 30th, 2008 in Denver

By Angie Drobnic Holan on Friday, February 1st, 2008 at 12:00 a.m.

Barack Obama made his most direct case for the Democratic nomination at a speech on Jan. 30, 2008, in Denver. He criticized fellow Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton's candidacy, arguing that he represents a more dramatic distinction with John McCain, the apparent Republican frontrunner after winning Florida's primary.

In making his argument, Obama attacked Clinton for voting with Republicans on national security issues, among other things.

After naming a number of areas where he said Clinton and McCain had the same positions, Obama attacked Clinton for diverging from McCain on the issue of torture. Clinton "actually differed with him by arguing for exceptions for torture before changing positions when the politics of the moment changed," Obama said.

The party is dead. It took a few decades for them to finish the job the DLC started, but finish it they did.

... is that this kind of post is just rhetoric. There's no true call for real, educated political discussion. It's one click from click-bait hoping to get folks angry. Well I'm not angry. I'm just laughing. That doesn't mean I support torture. I don't. Especially this thread so I think I might have to trash it.

Both Obama and Hillary are politicians.

Personally, I'd rather have a President who is willing to change her mind based on what the people want than an ideologist who doesn't care what anyone thinks.

She's done it before. Why anyone thinks she's any different now is beyond me.

If she wins she'll be right back to consulting with Kissinger on foreign policy, backing fracking and the 'clean coal' scam, pretending to 'tweak' TPP, etc. etc. etc.

It's called history and people would be wise to start learning from it.

Have you read her personal diaries?

I disagree with you that Hillary is a right-winger in disguise. That's just baseless speculation. She was one of the most liberal members of the Senate. If that's not good enough for you, nothing will be.

They just don't care that Hillary supported torture at a time the Bush administration was actively violating international law and torturing people.
