Why should I vote FOR Clinton?

Usually, when I ask this question, people respond with reasons to NOT vote for Sanders. Since there is a brand-new wave of OPs telling us Sanders is toast and Hillary will be the nominee, I suppose the time for relative comparisons has passed. So what are the positives? If I cast a vote in favor of Hillary Clinton, what ideas and policies am I casting a vote in favor of?

Clinton's fine, but our Sanders is so much better, he is the one to beat the GOP.

Any objective look at the realities of the two candidates and what they each are up against in the general election bears this out:

Sanders attracts Independents, the largest demographic, and he attracts some Republicans. This matters in the general.

Closed primaries didn't allow Bernie to demonstrate his strength among all voter.

The support Clinton got in the South is meaningless in the general, red states go red in November.

Bernie has no baggage, very few negatives, and polls show him consistently kicking ass over the GOP.

We are royally fucking ourselves if we nominate the weaker candidate.

Then that argument goes out the window too.

You could say "Obamacare", but then you might notice that the insurance exchanges are failing all over the place, and the only viable option is universal coverage, which Clinton doesn't support.

The arguments like this go on and on, and ultimately, you're left with no real reason to vote FOR her at all.

In the general, you should vote for Hillary if she is the Democratic nominee.

The reason being that she agrees with Bernie on about 90 percent of the issues, and that the Republican she will be running against will hold views that are antithetical to what progressives believe in on a plethora of critical issues.

Hillary will also nominate Supreme Court justices that will have values much more closely aligned with your own than the justices that a candidate Trump or Cruz would nominate.

This will impact the United States for decades to come.

It seems to me the primary is as far left as these folks can be pushed which is largely dropped with wrapping up the nomination, further right if they win, and even further right once there is no next election while setting up someone further right to pick up the bataan for the next cycle.

A lot of us have been going along to get along with "the team" for decades and it seems to only get worse as far as concentration of wealth and power goes.

There are not only current potential indictments that we know about but there may be some we don't know about. There may be a transaction by transaction investigations of her's and Bill's speeches, their "foundation" and ties to decisions made while she was Secretary of State such as the Swiss bank UBS situation.

http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/07/hillary-helps-a-bankand-then-it-pays-bill-15-million-in-speaking-fees/400067/

The bottom line is there are too many risks for her getting elected let alone being allowed to govern due in large part to her's and Bill's actions. The Republicans will start impeachment proceedings from day one. Why do you think Trump is calling her "crooked Hillary"? They are going to make all kinds of charges for perceived illegal activities and see which ones stick if any. You think her negatives are high now..... Is it true Bill and Hillary registered corporations in Delaware? If they did, the only reason one does that unless they live in Delaware is to evade and/or avoid something.

You are a conservative democrat that feels a woman can make a choice about her body up to the last month of pregnancy then she is capable of going cray cray and want's an abortion on demand.

She is the only way to stop people from demanding extreme environmental protections like ending fracking.

You believe only the corpocrats can create jobs and a 15 dollar an hour minimum wage will impact what you can buy with your disposable income even though you are more than comfortable.

You can't stand the idea of rich kids being able to go to the same colleges as poor kids for free.

You think drug users should face jail and economic hardship for life.

Any attack on Hillary is an attack on all women. Bringing up inconvenient facts is an attack on Hillary. The word shill is sexist for example.

Deep down you feel that people game the welfare system.

You prefer punitive measures to rehabilitation

It's easier to believe a lie from a perceived ally than the truth from a perceived enemy

81. Ouch. Don't forget: you feel that the state has the absolute right to kill it's own citizens.
