(7,299 posts)Sad that you cannot see the distinction.

(47,803 posts)How about when she and Bill retire?
I'm pissed too...but let's not feed the beast in terms of personalizing it. Just IMO, of course.

(3,859 posts)I'm letting off a little steam. But my animus for Hillary is real. She has caused so much human suffering, especially as SOS, for example with arms export deals and international fracking. To me, she is comparable to Cheney and Kissinger, although so far, fortunately, she has caused less human suffering than those two war criminals. God forbid that she become president, when human suffering throughout the Middle East is likely to expand.
But you are right, participating in the vitriol accomplishes nothing. I will take your friendly advice as a spur to get busy being part of the solution again.

(2,054 posts)I take it from your name "Trustbuster" that you're a really dedicated opponent of corporation and Wall Street funding of political campaigns.
LOL
Isn't that right?
LOL
So when will the lying attacks against Bernie Sanders and his supporters end on Democratic Underground?
Trust Buster
(7,299 posts)Controlling the Judicial Branch is where the action will be in the next decade. The Republicans will continue to tie up Congress. I plan to stop attacking Sanders after next Tuesday night. His supporters have earned as much.

(1,884 posts)Citizens United is helping her get "elected" by helping to fund her campaign.

(7,299 posts)I think she'll appoint justices who are open to reversing Citizens United. As for today, Citizens United is the rule of the road. I think it would be foolish to watch the Republicans drop $2 billion on this election why we limit ourselves to a fraction of that money. You run the risk of a Republican president and Citizens United for a generation. Now is the worst time to get religion over campaign finance IMO.

(1,884 posts)You seem to be under the impression that Hillary might be some kind of Liberal. Maybe socially, but otherwise no. She will appoint people with views simulator to hers, which will entrench the current status quo.

(11,945 posts)And Hill supporters will ask, "What's wrong with that? You some kind of socialist or something?"

(7,299 posts)Scalia was far Right. The Republicans will not accept that vote being replaced with someone from the far Left. Therefore, a moderate is still a win for the Dems and must be accepted by the Right.
Now, if Ginsburg retires, replacing a liberal with a liberal would not upset the balance of the Court. Each situation is unique.
