2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAre voters influenced by newspaper endorsements? Could that have contributed to Hillary's win in NY?
Do endorsements from large-city and metropolitan newspapers make a difference to the outcome of elections and primaries?
Or... are they just written for the enjoyment of those who already support the candidate who's being endorsed?

(42,862 posts)Most endorsements bounce around stating pros and cons of both candidates and then ultimately in the final paragraph they come down in favor of one candidate over the other with an "all-other-things-being-equal" and diplomatic assessment.
The NYDN endorsement for Hillary was indeed a painful wound to Bernie and his campaign. I think it hurt him (not just his personal pride, but his campaign as well.)
