It happened to me. I check and my status was inactive. which is nuts because I've been at my current address since 2008 and I vote in every election.

Here's a good website for Californians to check their status. It's as each county listed. I checked my husband's status and he was fine. My mom lives in Kern County and is one of the few brave Democrats and Hillary supporters in Bakersfield and she checked her's and she's good to go.
