DU's TOS regarding primaries and supporting candidates say:

"For presidential contests, election season begins when both major-party nominees become clear."

clear according to the owners of DU that is. So this could come as early as next Wednesday or some time much later.

when she has an FBI investigation hanging over her head?

How can we ignore this as if it's not happening?

We should be able to discuss this like adults.

Should be able to recognize the value of a credible, qualified candidate who is able to effectively run, get elected and serve. Just in case. Should be grateful. Should be.

Thanks for the link.

So that's it.

Skinner is not "calling it."

Good to see.

1. At this point it appears that the primary campaign is still going on.

I'm not worried. Eventually we will have a nominee, and it'll take a little time for people to adjust. But I have no doubt that the vast majority of DUers will be on board for the general election when the time comes.

Everyone knows where this is going, everyone understands what is at stake in the general election. It'll all be fine.

...until we have nominated our presidential an vice presidential candidates at the convention.

I could be wrong, but I don't see DU declaring it "over" as long as there is a large contingent of members who are committed to supporting Bernie through the convention. I just don't see this site choosing to alienate all those members (many of which are longtime star members).

voting is so passe

seems as if I've seen some declaration or other of "it's over" every day for quite a while when it's clearly not over and may not be until the convention
