... sexually repressed angry-geek D&D gamer who's still living in his mother's basement. "
They are hitting every meme and stereotype under the sun.
Hillary supporters on the internet are sinking to new lows.
Hillary's squad of online bullies is out in full force.
Earlier they were apparently attacking Sanders supporters for not being manly enough, saying stuff like this
https://twitter.com/slackmistress/status/722914067241807872
Now their latest meme: The Sanders supporter is a "nerdy "40-year-old-virgin" anti-social unsophisticated sexually repressed angry-geek D&D gamer who's still living in his mother's basement."
This was seen recently on an internet web forum.

What this tells me is they couldn't care less about earning our votes. To belittle and dismiss us like that. It short it means they don't like us, they don't respect our valid concerns on the issues, and they are basically telling all Sanders supporters to fuck off.
And they are probably taking their cues right from the top.
Today we had this gem: Hillary Clinton Aide Tells Journalist: Fuck Bernie Sanders

(504 posts)....who are tired of the same of old shit. Tired of the corporate in our politics. Tired of this country being led by money. This country is no longer for the people, and you guys honestly want to pass on a guy who refuses to take the oligarchs' cash?
If she wins, I'll thank you guys everyday for making the flowers bloom earlier and earlier every year as we keep on (FUCKING) the earth as it warms up.

(3,040 posts)They are virgins is acceptable, but to take the word whore out context is offensive and, through word jujitsu, tangentially applying it to people is not OK?

(5,198 posts)Knowing just what pisses us off and using it to derail focus and demoralize the left. Unification my *ss, this is well coordinated. Anyone who remembers the Bush years recognizes this.
They want to slow down the momentum and interfere with cohesion, so it's wise not to waste too much energy IMHO.

(9,086 posts)This is nothing I want to dwell on. Just, when I saw these things, all could think is how much of the past 12 months we have all spent discussing how supposedly rude and insulting and mean Bernie supporters were on the internet.
And honestly Hillary people on the internet are just as bad if not worse. But the media doesn't ever make it a story, and we don't complain much about it.
But you're completely right and this is not an issue I want to spend much more time on. Like ever.

I don't get to play D&D very often because I like the old school games.
As far as a lack of sophistication, I don't like Opera, but I like selected pieces from Operas.
Bach and Beethoven rock, Liszt is a bit weepy for my tastes.
And both my parents have passed away and thank you for ripping off that scab.

(9,688 posts)I guess that's why I better vote for Hillary and learn Hillary's ways. So I can find out about excited women?
Like when Hillary said "We came! We saw! He died!" and rocked back in her chair and laughed like a chicken-hawk just been fed directly into her craw by Robert Kagan.
That's exciting, almost sexual... maybe? To women who are suitably perverted?
I wonder what else excites them?

(1,166 posts)was immediately hit with two obnoxious, insulting "replies." What are they even doing on that Instagram account? Yeah, I've noticed in quite a number of online venues a sudden swell in shrill, bullying (and I must say, forced sounding) anti-Bernie posts. They so badly want him out now - what gives? Maybe it's just that HRC is sick and tired of being on the campaign trail (a) and/or getting really fed up with having to spend so much money during the primary phase when she thought that those pre-primaries super-delegate endorsements were going to give her an unopposed ride up to the GE (b). Unfortunately, the current tsunami of bullying online commentary isn't going to work either. (Well, who wouldn't find it more pleasant to attend fundraiser dinner parties in the homes of multimillionaires than, for instance, schlepping through a New York City subway station? Bernie, that's who!)

I can't take a line like this posted by one stranger as a truth told by "They"...seriously.
Too many headlines between the facts for me tonight!

(8,756 posts)Also, read it again. The tweet is saying men haven't seen a woman excited, suggesting men do not know how to excite women. Virginity, RPGs, and social skills aren't mentioned. Thats stuff you made up.
