REAL, systemic, change. It's coming! Bernie's legacy will go beyond his tenure as a presidential candidate. His legacy will be fundamental, historic, systemic change.
The revolution will endure!

(5,443 posts)Young progressives (older ones too) with a serious interest in politics need to run for local offices. There needs to be a progressive party forming that lives within the Democratic party but pushes for progressive change. Similar to but superior to the Right's tea party.
I hope that Bernie spends some significant time encouraging this course of action during his time on the national stage.

(464 posts)Unfortunantly, the only change I see is being anti war is not really a democratic value anymore.

(9,463 posts)And building the site around informing and signing up people to support that effort. I'm a webdev and, IMHO, new logo and design is needed. Get in touch with voting rights and government and political reform activists and orgs, especially ones that support Bernie, and get them to sign on to spread the word and help form a coherent plan of action, begin marketing, etc. The rest will reveal itself along the way.

(70 posts)I hadn't yet considered how to acquire a user base, but targeting like-minded political organizations sounds like a great way to go!
What logo/design suggestions do you have? I'm a programmer, so I'm a hack in the creative arena.

(9,463 posts)...mobile design. I would take a look at other activist website for ideas. Some of the orgs' websites are a good place to start for design ideas. I will take a look around, too, and PM you soon with some links. I want to know more about your programming skilz too (in private, not here).

(1,054 posts)But, is it needed? Did Bernie drop out? Isn't there still a chance we can go forward as Dems?
I will be an independent when he drops out. I will re-register and leave this site. And I will be if he doesn't get the nomination.
