Among the 1,563 voters polled over the course of five days, it would appear that Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton has an image problem with honesty. Of those asked, 178 said "liar" was the first word that came to mind. "Dishonest" was the second most common word association, with 123 responses. "Untrustworthy" came in third with 93 responses.

20. And the Republicans are more afraid of running against Bernie in a general election.

Those who don’t “feel the Bern” may instead be fearing it.

In a conversation with Santa Monica public radio‘s KCRW on Wednesday, Republican strategist Dave Carney speculated that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) could pose a bigger threat to the GOP in the general election than Hillary Clinton would.

Sanders has tapped into a powerful populist anger (as has Trump), and that sentiment isn’t easy for opposing candidates to overcome, Carney said.

“Bernie does the exact same thing that Trump does on the different side of the coin,” Carney argued. “They talk about this economic disconnect between the elites and the rest of us ... and they have different prescriptions for fixing that, but it’s the same anger, the same concern.”

Carney said that while Sanders’ self-description as a “democratic socialist” might alienate some people, it ultimately becomes irrelevant once voters enter the voting booth.

(snip)

“I think Bernie ... would bring new energy to the general election,” Carney concluded, “and I would be more worried about him.”

Not to mention Bernie consistently beats the Republicans in hypothetical general election match-ups by greater margins than Hillary.

citizens of AZ, all of whom followed the rules, yet were denied a vote. Anyone making light of that, or worse...minimizing its implications because it seemingly benefits their candidate... well, I won't say what I would truly like to because I don't want to get my response hidden. I'm sure those citizens of NY in similar situations feel the same. I will say that it sickens me that the hard-fought-for right to vote in this country can be stolen so easily...and subsequently MOCKED by a cadre of corporate clowns and their ridiculous enablers.

Yes there were problems, and, yes, AZ brought them on through their actions. Quite possibly, they knew that the closures would create chaos. No argument. AND IT AFFECTED EVERY CANDIDATE IN THE FIELD EQUALLY!

So, you want to hang this on Clinton? Prove it! Show that she somehow benefited from this mess, and I will concede this point to you immediately. Otherwise, you guys are blowing smoke.

I'm sure you think that's not by design.

In April 2015, (the disgusting DWS) told the Sun-Sentinel, “Secretary Clinton is arguably one of the most qualified people—assuming she announces her candidacy—who have ever run for president. I was proud to support her in 2008. Of course, as DNC chair, I will neutrally manage our primary nomination contest, assuming we have one.”
