One number tells the level of Jeff Weaver's commitment to the Sanders campaign.

FEC list of Sanders' campaign financial disbursements for the first 3 months of 2016:

Tad Devine's paycheck (Devine Mulvey Longabaugh) = $ 2,246,230.10 ($749,000 per month).

Jeff Weaver's paycheck = $500 ($167 per month).

Weaver has made more than a few missteps, but no question he is deeply committed to the Sanders cause.

Also: scan down the length of the list of payments. More than any other variable, payments are the most telling indicator of the complexity of presidential campaigns.

Update: Oops. I stand corrected. Weaver made $9,900 in March, far below what the head manager of a nationwide presidential campaign typically makes, and about $2,000 less per month than the going rate for a business school professor at a mid-sized research university, fresh out of his/her doctoral program. Devine as senior advisor, makes $810,000. Certainly there are other charges that Devine's pay includes, but his monthly pay is considerably more than that earned by a college professor in his/her twenties. My point stands.

No one, absolutely no one assumes the key role that Jeff Weaver has assumed for $167 a month.

I only responded to the other because using the term paycheck gave a misleading impression....I realize that you were just using the term loosely.

The link seems to show Jeff Weaver getting $9,903.93 for three months. Am I looking at this wrong?

Sanders’ campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, earned an annualized salary of about $118,000. Fiorina’s campaign manager, Frank Sadler, appears to take home an annual salary of about $108,000. Both were outearned by Cruz’s political director, Mark Campbell, who makes an annual salary of about $192,000.
