Salon: Firms that paid for Clinton speeches have US gov’t interests

http://www.salon.com/2016/04/21/firms_that_paid_for_clinton_speeches_have_us_govt_interests/

It’s not just Wall Street banks. Most companies and groups that paid Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to speak between 2013 and 2015 have lobbied federal agencies in recent years, and more than one-third are government contractors, an Associated Press review has found. Their interests are sprawling and would follow Clinton to the White House should she win election this fall.

The AP’s review of federal records, regulatory filings and correspondence showed that almost all the 82 corporations, trade associations and other groups that paid for or sponsored Clinton’s speeches have actively sought to sway the government — lobbying, bidding for contracts, commenting on federal policy and in some cases contacting State Department officials or Clinton herself during her tenure as secretary of state.

We really want to have this kind of person as our nominee? This is exactly what Obama campaigned against in 2008. It is precisely what Bernie's getting money out of politics message is about. The Democratic Party should not be putting someone forward who demonstrates, no, FLAUNTS, this kind of blatant corruptibility.

SHAME! SHAME!

2. That's one of the most vile and disgusting responses. And a prime example of how Hillary fans

No matter how many bullshit articles you post trying to trash our nominee, it hasn't helped Bernie's chances one bit!
Time to grow up and stop helping Trump by trashing the Democrat.

4. She's not our nominee yet. And in case you hadn't noticed (and I know you didn't)

The report is entirely factual from a reliable source who has favored Hillary.

So you can take those nuggets and chew on the fact that maybe you're not as grown up as you think you are.

9. As long as she won't release the transcripts of her speeches

She's the presumptive nominee.

Why the secrecy?

Maybe she can only win on the wings of deception and secrecy.

This will follow her to the GE. I don't want a president who isn't serious about their values and commitment to the greater good, not just the good of corporations & vulture capitalists. I don't want a mitt romney clone talking behind the backs of citizens they perceive as 47% losers.

I don't trust her because she doesn't trust us to judge her fairly by her own words and speeches to sectors that have done great damage to this country.

The republicans are the enemy I know and understand. They are transparent in their policies and goals.

I expect HRC to be just as transparent. Nothing less.

7. Projecting Hillary's faults isn't going to work. Bernie has not given paid speeches to Wall Street

Or to anyone else who lobbies the government. I know you want him to be as corrupt as Hillary, but that is just not the reality here.

8. With a lot of influence and you'd have to have been dead if you didn't know she was going to run

She's been planning on running since she was FLOTUS. Furthermore, certain activities performed as private citizens are fair game when running for POTUS. This is one of them.

12. Exactly!

Really the simplest solution is that Clinton should remain a private citizen. She can launder all the ill-gotten money she wants through her network of lobbyist and her *cough* *cough* family charity. But at least she won't be holding the reigns of political party and she won't be in DC as a politician any longer.

Really this would be a win/win.
