2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumElizabeth Warren would NEVER agree to VP before the FBI decides and announces.
NEVER.
In fact, Hillary might have some trouble finding anyone of merit to go public with agreeing to be VP while still under investigation.

(135,425 posts)None of us do, and it's silly to pretend otherwise.
Everyone thought she'd be feeling that "Bern" long before today, but it looks like she is staying far from the fire. Quite sensibly, too--after all, there's no "gain" for her to alienate half her constituency no matter what she does.

She is my Senator and yours. I don't always agree with her. Yet she is ours.

(135,425 posts)And when this shitshow primary is over, I have a feeling she'll be out on the hustings bringing in MA for HRC.

Power to the people. Power to the people right on.

(81,859 posts)She doesn't want to be president.
By the way, most voters, elected Democrats, and super delegates disagree with you.

(11,989 posts)Link to any place she has said that? Many times, she said "I am not running" (and she didn't, and she isn't). However I don't remember her ever saying anything like she would never, ever want to be president.

(1,163 posts)No fucking way Warren would consider this, not at any stage of the game whatsoever.
Not with Clinton, she wouldn't.

ALERTER'S COMMENTS
flame bait. Too much of it today.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu Apr 21, 2016, 07:33 PM, and the Jury voted 0-7 to LEAVE IT.
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE

Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I'm uncertain as to why the alerter feels that a disagreement is flame bait. Perhaps they misread it, or got it confused with another?
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: First, Hillary won't be indicted, you should probably stop clinging to that dream. Second, stop carrying water for the GOP. Even though this OP is a waste of space, it isn't worth a hide vote. My advice to the alerter, let them spam this crap it just makes it clear who they really are. -Agschmid
Thank you very much for participating in our Jury system, and we hope you will be able to participate again in the future.

(52,241 posts)if it's a nothing scandal, then whatever, politics as usual.
if it's enough to derail the presidency, then as long as that happens after the election, well, that's the veep's dream!
so, i'm not really seeing the logic in your argument, unless you figure the possible veeps are seriously worried that a democratic justice department is going to indict a democratic presidential candidate just a few months or weeks before the election.
bit of a thread-the-needle argument....

But I could see her as Bernie's VP, because they are practically twins, ideologically, and would work together beautifully as a team.
