Prediction: Momentum Will Surge Toward President Obama Over The Weekend & Into Next Week

I think the seesaw is over.

Romney had his "momentum moment" and fell short, invoking the time-honored truth voiced by Emerson, that when you strike at the king, you must kill the king. Well, Obama is not only standing, but he's standing ahead of Romney in all of the important polls which are in the battleground states.

Romney really needed to follow up his "victory" in the first debate with a least one more win and a draw, maybe squeak by with two draws. But he lost the second and third debates, and now he just looks desperate.

As a final kick in the teeth, I believe that Hurricane Sandy might actually tip more voters toward President Obama, because they'll be reminded of the bush disaster during Katrina. They'll be reminded that Rs are the party that wants government so small that it can't help with things like natural disasters. The country will see President Obama on the job, directing the government efforts to make things right, while Romney and Ryan cry crocodile tears and try to explain how their huge "you're on your own/learn to take responsibility for yourself" budget cuts would somehow make life easier for those affected by the storm.

from the talking head shitbags, this is the truest statement - Romney simply did not make his case.

They and the force that is the republican party made it a lot closer than it should have been by turning EVERYTHING into a big steaming pile of SHIT.

But, fortunately, it would APPEAR that the country is about to make a more honest and sober vote.

Right now, the race seems stuck, with neither candidate having much momentum, and it's frustrating. I wish Obama would pull ahead so I could theoretically focus on law school and not fall so far behind because I am distracted.

... The voters are thinking, "Hey, we're losing all our money and Christmas is coming. I won't be able to buy the <I-Pad> with the Kung Fu <game>. And my wife won't make love to me cos I ain't got no money. They're panicking, screaming, "Romeny, Romney, Romeny."

...

Then the unemployment numbers come in - not bad. The economic growth numbers come in - also not bad, almost good when you look at the rest of the world. A natural disaster looms, and the government is still here. Nobody is rioting. Social security checks mailed on the 17th show up and don't bounce. More social security checks mailed on the 24th show up. Maybe even some mailed 11/3 will show up by the 6th. Yup, that's government spending right into your wallet. The panic subsides. Obama's stock shoots back up!

I think Obama and Romney will split the remaining undecideds and Obama will win by as much as he's leading now.

with his new-found moderate self, which is essentially just running around lying in new and inventive ways. She pointed out a bunch of really hypocritical stuff he's done, like standing in front of a company that got $700k in stimulus funds while railing about the stimulus not working.

The Ohio polls indicated that surge.

Romney has been shifting ad dollars to Wisconsin, indicating they know Ohio is gone. They're going for the "last ditch effort" model which could give them 269 or 270. that scenario requires a win in Wisconsin

Even during the debt debacle... it always seemed like President Obama has been playing Chess while the GOP has been playing Checkers.

I hope more states go blue than any pundits say is possible.

that Romney's plateau was too low.

I think that is likely to be the case.

His post debate surge got him CLOSE, but not even quite even with the President.

Once that surge started to normalize, the President had an admittedly small, but clear edge.

With nothing left to further boost Romney, the President has had the tides shift his way the last week or so, ever so slightly.

Sandy can not in any way help Romney, at the very least ends the campaign, and likely helps the President with the only question being how much.

The cake is all but baked.
