Let's ask some of these pukish Republicans who think a child conceived of rape

is God's will if they think that it's also God's will to kill a child/fetus (their words) spontaneously of a couple who has been trying to conceive for years and finally does through a spontaneous miscarriage (abortion). Does HE intend this suffering be inflicted upon a childless couple and the fetus by deliberately killing it? If HE wants a baby to be conceived through rape and it's his will, then isn't also the other scenario his will? Killing the fetus and making the couple suffer immeasureably?

Also, why do you think right wing republicans pervert their religion is such ways? I cannot understand it on any level.

I used to work with abused and raped victim women and I know for an absolute fact that NO woman I worked with (and there were thousands) ever thought the rape was God's will resulting in a child. And the thought of not being able to get a legal abortion for most of them was beyond painful and humiliating, adding to the humiliation of the rape itself.

Would ANY child - at whatever age - want to know that s/he is the product of a rape? FORCING a woman relive the agony of her rape for nine months until the child is born is torture. It should be her choice. However, a woman has to consider what the child will feel from the knowledge of how it was conceived.

"it's God's will" meme, is that they simply don't get what a sadistic torturer they are invoking.

I remember, some years ago, after a plane crash in which about half the passengers died, the father of one kid who did survive saying something about God's will, and all I could think of was, "Do you think God selects who is going to live and die in a particular plane crash?" To which, the "it's God's will" people would say yes.

But the meme needs to be turned back to them. They need to be told over and over that it is equally God's will that a woman have an abortion. If they think it's God's will that certain terrible things happen then, guess what, it's also God's will that other things happen. Oh. That actually just now reminds me of the possibility of free will. What an interesting concept. A rapist, using his own free will rapes a woman. She gets pregnant. Now she uses her free will to get an abortion. Hmmm.

It's like a mindset from centuries ago when God was a god of vengence and to be feared, etc. I wonder how much of it they REALLY believe vs. how much they are using it as an excuse to control women (hiding behind God). I can't believe some of them even belive in God.

miscarriage is something that is God's will, whereas abortion is a choice the woman makes.

The right-wing evangelicals have an answer for everything on this topic.

the problem with religion is that it explains away everything. No consistency is ever required.

and the ones who are praising rape conception would probably say it's all God's will, including the rape.
