I just voted in Maryland

It was the first day early voting was allowed. I had to stand in line about 1 1/2 hours, but it was worth it. One of the funny things was that there was somebody in the appropriate spot electioneering for Dan Bongino (republican candidate). She had a whole stack of brochures and flyers. I could see her most of the time I was waiting and during that time she handed out only one brochure. She was a very nice lady with an upbeat personality, but she was clearly getting discouraged. Too bad her thinking and loyalties are in the wrong place. Oh, and when I left, the line to vote was even longer than when I got in it.

I came out of the booth and went to the Obama table to hug the complete strangers who were crying and smiling as we made history together. I almost felt sorry for the sad McCain guy, he was so outnumbered and our enthusiasm was palpable.

I voted this morning...for Obama, of course. Had to wait about a half hour and also cast my vote for marriage equality. I'm phone banking tomorrow making calls to Virginia. What I like most about that is finding other Obama supporters in this very red county.
