Someone suggested I cross post this from SFP. I'm still in the process of getting date/time/address info for the applicable counties and will update as I find it.

NY law requires each county to conduct a "recanvassing" (audit) prior to certifying their election results. The audit process is basically a hand count of a random 3% sample of the ballots which are then matched against the official count which is based on the vote machine count. If the numbers are different they then must hand count a random 5% sample and so on. I'm not entirely sure what happens if they still can't get the numbers right after that but I would presume it should in theory trigger some other larger action and the campaigns would be notified. We need Bernie voters to attend the audits in their counties. And the more the better.

Some voters in Chicago attended their audit and witnessed a major discrepancy in the hand count vs machine count that the auditors then "fixed" to match the machine count. Unfortunately, it's too late for the Sanders campaign to request a recount in IL as the deadline to do so expired 10 days after the audit. But if something similar happens in NY and we have our people in there to witness it, we can get that info to the campaign and possibly force a recount if it looks like it's necessary.

I'm going to try to compile a list of dates for when the big counties that went for Hillary will conduct their audits but they will be very soon as the results must all be certified by next Friday, 04/29/2016. This is super important, everybody. If you live in NY please attend the audit in your county! And we need to be sure we're doing this for all the remaining states as well. The campaign can't be everywhere all the time and we absolutely dropped the ball in IL which could have been a game changer.

Erie County - maybe 04/28/2016? The guy I talked to also asked me which candidate I was supporting before he gave me any info... uh.... that's kind of weird. I'm going to call back another time to see if I can get a solid date on this.

Onondaga County - Too late, conducted today.
Suffolk County - Date not set, told to call back Monday. Apparently they have been slowed down by the extremely large number of affidavit ballots which had to be separated from the normal ones.
Rockland County - Audit in progress but started Wednesday so probably too late now.
