I'm a PA voter voting for Bernie (and John Fetterman for Senate) tomorrow. How should we voters handle the situation if we're given a provisional ballot or told our names can't be found in the registration system?
After the disenfranchisement in Illinois, Arizona, and New York, I'm willing to bet there are quite a few potential voters who may be intimidated about their upcoming votes. I personally know of two people in PA who have had their voter registration changed or disappeared, even though they are 100% sure they properly registered.
So I suppose this is a question is regarding all voters in upcoming states, really: If we show up to vote and we know for sure we're registered properly, how should we handle the situation if we are told our names are not in the system or we're handed a provisional ballot?

(5,591 posts)when they were told they were registered as Independents. They're still pissed. Most of them submitted provisional ballots but doubt they were counted.

(1,359 posts)We all know you don't need to be registered for the mid-terms because voting then isn't "cool enough," so that gives you 1460 days to learn your state's laws about voter registration and comply like every other citizen who votes does.
Good luck!
