Related: About this forumClinton hits Trump for "country- club lifestyle"
I shit you not. Does the Clinton campaign really think the voting public is a bunch of clueless idiots? She's the LAST person to be hitting him on this. Isn't there something she can actually differentiate herself from him on that she can talk about?

(29,503 posts)She just seems dull. So perhaps that has nothing to do with innate intelligence, but she doesn't have the polish that Bill always did (as much as I disliked him, I have to give him credit for that).

(13,783 posts)1 - Given their resumes, books, etc., they would have had to work at it to not have multiple millions. Do you want to legislate a top income?
2 - Most people with their assets and income have multiple houses. It says something about their values that they don't.
3 - I bet they'd like a less expensive venue, but they have to have a "yuge" place to get any privacy and they have to allow for secret service contingents for both of them.
How can you possibly use a vacation home as a reason to write off someone. Do you know of no wealthy people whose activities you approve of????

(16,685 posts)It's astonishment at the absurdity of someone of her wealth trying to attack someone else for being wealthy and out of touch with average Americans.
It's ridiculous and foolish.

(13,390 posts)The line about Donald Tump's kids benefitting from free college was a clue of exactly how little she thinks of people who are poor. The implication is that people just want their anger reinforced and validated RATHER than to be treated more fairly.
She doesn't seem to even try to show any kind of respect to people who are poor. I guess it's more difficult to exploit and devalue people as a means to callous self absorbed end that way.
LibDemAlways
(15,139 posts)is simply absurd and I wish to hell Bernie would loudly call her out on it. Who the hell cares if a millionaire's kids attend a tuition free public school? That's no reason at all to deny a tuition free education to non wealthy kids. And of course it's even more ridiculous because the possibility of a guy like Trump sending his kid to a public college is just about nil. Hillary sent her daughter to Stanford, one of the most exclusive and expensive private school in the country. Fresno State was never in the running.

(1,442 posts)HRC is optics blind, due to her monumental belief that the 'regular folks' are wandering idiots that can be herded towards perceptions that she shapes and then states
My take is that the primary is showing the split within DEM party as to the mindless masses that follow HRC and the mindful masses that follow Bernie...
Last primary cycle you had two corporatist nominees to choose from... this primary cycle is completely different
