This Country is at a pivotal moment does not need a status quo Candidate. Bernie is only Candidate talking about progressive agenda. Vice President Biden likes Bernie's Big Ideas. Love the last sentence in the article: "This is not the first time Biden has praised Sanders at the expense of Clinton’s image. Biden also praised Bernie’s crusade for income inequality last January. “Bernie is speaking to a yearning that is deep and real. And he has credibility on it,” he said, while adding, “It’s relatively new for Hillary to talk about that.”

68. More complicated than that - there were two parts
Mon Apr 25, 2016, 08:50 PM
Apr 2016

The first was that he can not snap his fingers and deliver his supporters. He then said that HRC will have to reach for those people. He listed issues she can move on ... which I doubt she will, as she has already moved to the left on many issues.

The second part was that he said he knew how extreme the Republicans are - and that he would fight to keep a Republican out of the Oval Office.

(The funny thing is that I had lunch today with a Burlingtonian, who like most Burlingtonians, knew Bernie very well from when he was mayor. When the question of what Bernie would do if he lost --- her answer was so close to something like this that my husband and I were stunned.

The fact is that that answer is FAR more compelling and real than if he answered that he would become a leading surrogate. If he did that, he would lose credibility with the very people he needs to influence -- those who are not wanting to vote for HRC. He can be more effective - staying true to the causes that he has had for decades -- and making the case that a Republican in the Oval Office are detrimental to those causes.

Think about it as if you were a Sanders supporter, who thinks Clinton is not a good alternative and you care about the issues that they differ on, which impresses you more:

- Sanders appearing to thrash all those issues and become a cookie cutter surrogate for Clinton

OR

- Sanders remaining himself and making a case that a Republican would be far worse and devastating on both the issues that he and Clinton differ on, but those they disagree on.

My take is the latter works far better with Sanders' real authenticity.

Further, compare the second part to Nader 2000 -- Sanders does not equate HRC with a Republican and says he will work to keep a Republican out.

How about her position on fracking or the TPP or medical marijuana? She is on the wrong side of all those issues.

Oh I know you like her Prisons For Profits

Here are some important points made by Black Lives Matter Activist Ashley Williams:

“Here's the truth: the Clinton legacy has left our prisons bursting at the seams. Real lives have been destroyed as a result. It is an indisputable fact that millions of Black people were locked up for drug crimes and provided the bodies for the expansion of the prison industry.

The 1994 Crime Bill that she so vigorously defended not only expanded incarceration, but stripped funding for college education from prisoners. The Clinton legacy allowed for policies that prevented anyone convicted of a felony drug offense from receiving food stamps or income assistance. Clinton-led welfare reform fundamentally ripped apart the social safety net.”

“Make no mistake, Hillary Clinton's efforts to push these policies resulted in the continued destruction of Black communities and the swift growth of our mass incarceration crisis.”

What's funny is that they call Bernie supporters "Bros" and complain that we're bullies, but nearly all the bad behavior in on their part.

I don't think they can stand to see other people happy. Hm, that might explain their lack of concern about what their candidate could do the American people.

115. Superdelegates have a right to rethink decision
Mon Apr 25, 2016, 09:26 PM
Apr 2016

During MSNBC Town Hall hosted by Chris Hayes:

Let’s talk about principle. Hundreds and hundreds of superdelegates parts of the Democratic establishment voted for Hillary Clinton, or chose to come on board her campaign before I even announced by candidacy, and those people have a right to rethink the decision that they made, and if they conclude that we are the stronger campaign for a dozen different reasons that we are a stronger campaign. And by the way, this is not just talking off the top of my head virtually every poll that’s out there as you know shows that Bernie Sanders does better against Donald Trump than Hillary Clinton does better against other Republican candidates. Should that be taken into consideration? Yeah, I think so.
