Hillary Clinton Trolls Shut Down Pro-Bernie Sanders Facebook Groups

Some of the biggest pro-Bernie Sanders groups on Facebook were briefly taken down Monday evening in a targeted attack by Hillary Clinton supporters.

The groups Bernie Sanders Activists, Bernie Believers, BERNIE OR BUST, Bernie Sanders Revolutionaries, Bay Area for Bernie, Bernie Sanders 2016 — Ideas Welcome, Bernie Sanders is my HERO, and Bernie Sanders for President 2016 were all taken down in the attack. The pages in question were reported to be down for about three hours, from 9 p.m. to midnight Monday night.

<snip>

The groups were targeted by online trolls, who posted pornographic images and reported the groups to Facebook admins. Some legitimate Bernie supporters even reported seeing images containing pedophilia, according to reporting from Heavy.com.

Erica Libenow, a Sanders supporter and member of one of the pro-Bernie groups, said, “We had what looked like a kiddie porn posted in one of our groups today. I reported that one. Seriously made me want to vomit.”

<snip>

Other Hillary Clinton fans were cheering on Champagne’s trolling, encouraging him to try to take down Bernie Sanders’ official Facebook page. Another Facebook user openly admitted that her husband frequently reported pro-Sanders posts on Facebook in hopes that they would be taken down, saying his success rate was “about 50/50 on a good day.”

Must be a proud day for Clinton and her supporters. Woo-hoo, winning!
I wonder if Hillary is as proud as the day when she had her daughter go out campaigning and lie about Bernie's health care plan? What a great example to follow!

That's a dog-whistle weasel word when used like that, Sheep.

For one, it's possible that one bad actor did something nasty without anyone else being involved. That's not a conspiracy. But if two or more did, it is a conspiracy. And if someone alleges as much, it's a theory about a potential conspiracy.

Prosecutors do that for a living and no one accuses them of wearing a tin-foil hat.

And when something stinks, you have to consider the possibility that a dead rat is involved.

I did, and it makes for interesting reading.

So, if person A makes a wild claim, that means nothing happened? No, it doesn't.

Now, for the not so wild claim. We have (Hillary supporter Zuckerberg's) FaceBook canning Sanders' groups at the same time it was revealed that HRC/Brock are spending a million to get up in the face of Sanders' supporters.

That much is not disputed.

more important than "weak and right". That's why we have so much poverty (50 million) because the conservatives see the poor as weak. The wealthy rationalize that they deserve to be wealthy because they are Strong.

When H.Clinton stood side by side with Bush and explained how we needed to invade Iraq, she was being "strong and wrong". She knew she was wrong but better to be "strong and wrong". Some of us don't agree with the arrogance of Bill Clinton's statement. We don't believe being strong or tough is the most important element of a leader. We think empathy is important. Got in a fight with my boyfriend last year. He punched me in the face, someone called the police, he rammed his own head into the wall repeatedly and tried to tell the police I did it; they looked at him like he was crazy (and he was, off his meds). The only way it could have been more ridiculous is if Jerry Springer were there.

These fantasy narratives are transparent.

I won't vote for Trump or Cruz or Kasich of any other right-wing asshole, including HER. When she disavows her warmongering, I could reevaluate. But for now, if the nomination goes to HER, I won't be voting for the first time since my first vote for George McGovern in 1972.

She's a hawk, people! Why is the Democratic Party self-immolating for HER?

Astroturfing is is nothing new during campaign season, nor is it something that has never been attached to the Clinton campaign. But aside from unsourced screenshots, no information emerged to substantiate the April 2016 claims of coordinated or paid harassment of Sanders supporters on social media.

I've never seen anything like this before in previous primaries. The utter paranoia and conspiracy theories.

Trashing thread.
